How to judge the quality of gear motor

2024-05-25

Reduction motors, reduction gearboxes, gear reduction motors and other products are used in automotive drives, smart homes, industrial drives and other fields. So, how do we judge the quality of the reduction motor?

1. Firstly, check the temperature. During the rotation process, the reduction motor will cause friction with other parts. The friction process will cause the temperature of the reduction motor to rise. If an abnormal temperature occurs, the rotation should be stopped immediately and preventive measures should be taken. The thermal sensor can detect the temperature of the reduction motor during rotation at any time. Once it is found that the temperature exceeds the normal temperature, the inspection must be stopped and other harmful faults may occur.

2. Secondly, check the vibration. The vibration of a high-quality reduction motor has a very obvious impact on the reducer. Through the vibration response, problems with the reduction motor can be detected, such as damage, indentation, rust etc, which will affect the Normal vibration performance of the reduction motor. Use the vibration detection instrument of the reduction motor to observe the vibration size and vibration frequency of the reduction motor, and discover abnormalities in the reduction motor.

3. Then check the sound. During the operation of the geared motor, different sounds appear, which means that the geared motor has different conditions. We can judge the quality of the geared motor through hearing, but the judgment also requires instrument testing. There is a sound tester specifically designed to check the geared motor. If the reduction motor makes a sharp and harsh sound during operation, or there are other irregular sounds, it proves that there is a problem or damage to the reduction motor, and the operation should be stopped as soon as possible for more detailed inspection.
